Where would I find out the value of 100 $1.00 notes in numerical order, uncirculated, they still have the wrapper around them?

I would hope if a potential buyer has enough money to spend on a worthless investment they have enough sense to search the sold list to see it is 4 times more than other sales this year. 225754161477

So your valuation is obviously not based on any knowledge of the collectors market, , Ebay is not the judge of value of items. Thats not research

I like how you leave certain things out to suit your narrative. But that is expected and most people would have clicked the link to the auction site showing a sold result.

I will say I am only basing my results on a quick search with no knowledge on the subject so I may be overlooking something that makes these more valuable than others. Plus I'm not looking at these from a collectors point of view but one of return on investment. As a collector of certain items I still expect them to increase in value.

I did click on the link , and also looked at the item number. There you go assuming again.

You are also assuming that item wasn't sold to cheaply.

Auction site lists a $500-$1000 value sold for $750. Ebay sells for $500 today what am I missing. Its a stack of $1 notes with no way of making any return unless you pick it up in a bulk lot from a deceased estate and sell it off for a profit on what you paid.

What is you opinion of the value?

I wouldnt give a valuation sight unseen, but just based on some information provided, definitely worth more, you cant value things via google or auction sites.

I saw a similiar stack sell for significantly more just a few weeks back., they are not just a stack of $1 notes as you put it.

There are ''stacks'' of $1 notes and there are ''stackssssssss'' of $1 notes.

They are to common to have any real value and no chance of increasing in price unless you can catch someone out who does not spend a few minutes looking. No serious ebay seller would waste time on items like these unless you are buying collections in bulk and reselling it straight away.

If it were I - I would do a little more research - serial numbers do matter.

And from that link - I'd also read the nearly small print.

In the case of mass printed banknotes e.g. Polymer banknotes, reproductions of banknotes in visual form including serial numbers are only facsimiles and not the serial number you may receive. This includes all uncirculated banknotes, best described as rate and available.

Some are worth more than others - of course.

Not sure about your point on this one, yes its a bundle of 100, it doesnt say consecutive serials, or if unused. You are comparing apples with bananas or possibly even pumpkins, and not doing proper research. Plus as per domino in their comment,

That is the exact reason I avoid collectable items due to the time you can spend in trying to get it right. It is ok if you deal in that category as you know what to look for but if you don't you can spend more time than needed and end up making less money than just sticking to what you know.

I would also be very surprised if those that deal in these items can make a full time income from it.

when it was announced that $1 coins would replace notes, many people went to the banks and got bundles of 100.

I have several friends who did so.

There are literally thousands of 100-note-bundles out there.

I would think that timing is important when deciding when to sell, the old supply and demand lesson.

Bump presumably bought them for $100, so definitely a profit there.

Consecutive numbers would probably add to that. Which is what bump has. Wrapped, so almost certainly uncirculated. More upside there.

From what I have read - it is considered - there are still 19,000,000 - $1 notes still ' out there '.

As a one of item to sell if you have the time to spend on getting a bit more go for it. For me as a seller I pass on items like these as they are too draining on time and don't get the results some sellers think they do.
