Another for you Appleangel .Unlike my last 20 cent error coin I have another but this time the error is created.

I found a 20cent coin with two heads (1966 and 1979) and no reverse. The lines on the rim don't match up and there is a line around the coin where two have been joined after having been ground down to correct size and weight 10-11 grams.....Brilliant gluing job though. Is this worthless?

Well to me it is worthless, when i find them i keep them so that some unsrupulous types don't get hold of them & try to flog them of as genuine, there is another sort that do get bought as genuine on occasions,a lathe is the tool involved in this type, hone one coin out, machine another down to the right size then fix it into the honed out shell, all types are fairly easy to pic if you know what your looking at,but some grubs do get away with it.

Originally they were magician's coins, double heads or double tails so thats where the scammers got the idea from.

Having said that this one sounds like it could be easily identified & there are some legitimate collectors of this type of thing so as long as you disclose everything in your listing i can't see any problem with selling it .
