Hello how can you tell if an item is a genuine Clarice Cliff Ceramic?

Hi,

I have several pieces of Clarice Cliff. Yet a Seller has a Honey Bee Pot . With two stamps on the base.

I believed they were made at different times.

What actions do I take.

Not being an expert. I would like information from experinced People first.

Ummm, do you mean you want to contact a seller and tell me them they are selling a fake? Or report them to eBay for selling a fake? All I can say is, you would want to be very sure of your ground first. As I understand it, genuine Clarice Cliff marks are many and varied; this kind of says it all

Even if I was a great expert on Clarice Cliff (and I am certainly not), I would hesitate to try to interfere with another seller's listing. Unless I was interested in buying the item myself, I would simply steer clear of the item. If I was interested in buying it, that would be another matter entirely, and I would try to communicate in a polite way with the seller. But I doubt I would be interested in buying something I was unsure about.

I am sure you asked this question with the best of intentions, but really, eBay is like every other venue for selling second hand goods - buyer beware. There are about a zillion items for sale on eBay that are not what they claim to be. Some will never sell, a lot will sell despite it, because either the buyers don't know, or the buyers don't care. If a buyer buys something and is unhappy about it, providing they have followed the rules that eBay/PayPal have in place, they can be refunded, which is much more than usually happens on other selling platforms.

you can tell by the backstamp which date pieces were made as i have encyclopedia with pages of backstamps so if you put a pic of exact backstamp on here i could tell you exactly time period as clarice was made from 1927-28 right up to 1963 with over 60 backstamps

Hello,

It has nothing to do with a Seller.

I wanted to sell my "Honey Bee Pot" .I have other pieces of Clarice Cliff.

And I have seen several "Honey Bee Pot's " on here.

My Pot has a base with just Clarice Cliff. And Wilkinson I think.

I have photos .It is I am positive genuine.

I just wanted to put it past the Experts on here first/

thats one of backstamps used from 1937-1952 well after bizarre period had finished as bizarre series 1927-28 up to about 1936 is most collectable but clarice cliff was produced right up to 1963 when it was taken over by midwinter
