Help with makers mark or silver mark please.

Hi, this biscuit barrel I think is etched glass with a ?silver or silver plated rim, handle & an etched lid. The only markings are on the side of the barrel rim. It has the number D229 and what looks like a 'S' ( this may be the year date) I have looked online but cant find any relevant information. Thanks for any help.

When adding photos they will need to be larger as I am unable to see them clearly enough to make them out.

As said, those photos are far too small.

You will need clear photos with sufficient resolution to show detail, otherwise I don't think anyone can make out the maker mark, etc.

I suspect it is just a white metal - not silver or silver plated.

You can quite clearly see the copper brass colour coming through the blading
