Impossible to contact eBay

Hi. I had my eBay account hacked recently and my email address is no longer recognised - oops! I followed direction on the eBay website for a hacked account where a logon cannot be achieved. It directs to contact eBay immediately however provides no means to do so. Following 'email' or 'call' options just led back to the logon screen which I cannot access.

I opened another eBay account to see if I could somehow get help through that means. This proved fruitless as no phone contact is listed and the email facility is no longer available. In short it appears that there is no way to contact eBay to get my original account unlocked and the hacking resolved. That account has active purchases and other activity ongoing. I have lost confidence in eBay and it's security systems. Chat with the Community seems to be my last source of information.

Any ideas to resolve this, before I abandon my ebay accounts and change my bank card, would be great fully received.

Emailing eBay is pointless as any replies are bot generated'

Phoning has not been available for a couple of weeks due to Coronavirus closing down the call center

Have you tried Live Chat (you may need to go to 'help' at the top of any page rather than going about it via report a hacked account

I think you should (if you have'nt already) contact your bank in any case

I have never had to report this issue myself, but I am sure a fellow member can offer more advice when they see your post

Thanks mate, live chat gave me a number and I managed to get my issue resolved over the phone. eBay Account Security Team 1800093577

I am glad that on this number a Human actually answers, but I do not think it is wise to wait until the last day of delivery as he is suggesting and then to declare a dispute as the eBay tracking number is a fake. Email customerhelp_au@ebay.com just comes back with a bot reply not to contact them that way, great! Bangood and Aliexpress are just as cunning with denying access via email and to the seller. Best to contact the bank to get your money back. Unfortunately, BankWest rings you back three times just when you are driving, so you best stay home to wait and wait for the call.

If you need to contact eBay, please first visit http://ocsnext.ebay.com.au/ocs to describe the help you require. Once you have selected the area that best describes your situation, you will be provided with multiple resolution options, including a Contact Us option. The Contact Us option will give you a phone number to call to discuss your situation with an eBay representative.

Correct, the call center closed over four years ago

What convicts are these?

Were you the seller or the buyer?

Can you possibly start your own thread, instead of jumping on an old one

With out the yelling, if possible
