store personalisation

Hi there can anyone help me with store personalisation, Ebay have stated that it is now unavailable, i was told that all i can do is change logo and billboard, there is no no side navigation or search box, apparently there is also no information regarding this, Ebays advertising of upgrading to a store clearly states that there are pre designed templates to choose from and the ability to personalise my new store. Thank you

You have a left-hand navigation section for your whole 3 categories, although I'm at a loss to understand why you are paying for a store when you only have 15 listings. 100 is the recommended minimum to make a store cost-effective.

Thanks for your reply, I am planning to add more items in the coming weeks, i was hoping to set up my store before i start adding more items, i understand that i am paying a monthly fee of $24.99 but that is ok, my problem is that when people look at an item i am selling the page looks like the store theme that i have created, but when someone clicks on my store link my store page looks nothing like it, my store page looks very amateurish, that is the part i don't like. I have since been told that i should be able to set my store page up the way i would like it, butfor some reason it is not working properly, Ebay are having their I.T department looking into this.

I can't help there. I set my store up a decade ago. I don't actually know what it looks like. I never look at it, and for the items I sell I doubt many people go through the store. I only opened it for the cheaper listing fees.

I have since found out that it is the new store setup that eBay is going with, it is to help with lag issues on the site, i actually clicked the revert back to my old store link that has caused the problem.

I'm going to give you my honest opinion, based on my taste, it's too bright and 'in your face', too fussy IMO but maybe that's just me. I hate personalised store frills and fancy borders. I'm there to hopefully find a good clear description and lots of clear photos. Couldn't give a bleep how fancy your page is. In fact it would put me off buying from you. Less is more

Yep I agree with the consensus....too in yer face.

The purple background clashes horribly with the orange and blue packaging of the keyrings.
