Hi all. I r ecently purchased a frame to support standing and pivoting out of furniture for 2 old people at home. Unfortunetely the rails ere too light to be functional . The purchase is not registered in my ebay history as I set up my personal account after this purchase . I have a receipt form ebay re: purchase and delivery of goods.

The seller does not do refunds but has advised me to apply to ebay. Th eebay computer system will not give me access to a returns form as there is no registery of the goods. How do I proceed?

Use the link below for problems with buying as a "guest".

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item/returning-items-bought-guest?id=4065

Edit to add. If the item is "Not as described" then the seller has to provide return postage. DO NOT close the case until you are completely satisfied with the outcome. A closed case CAN'T be reopened.

If it's not fit for purpose, then follow Padi's link and open a case for Item Not as Described.

That way the seller must pay for return if they want the item back, or otherwise they have to refund.

Saying they don't do returns is only for change of mind - which yours isn't.

Don't close the case, no matter what they say, until you have a full refund.

Keep an eye on the case and don't let it time out.

Ask ebay to step in when it allows.

OP, you say the frames are too light to be functional. padi and imastawka have highlighted the exact issue; this means it’s not as described. imastawka has specifically called it out as not being fit for purpose.

That means unequivocally that it’s significantly not as described. It’s undoubtedly made of a metal or alloy that hasn’t the required yield strength, tensile strength or compressive strength. If it can’t support the weight of a human, it does not have the ability to function as described.

Go get’em. Take photos, open the refund/return request. Seller is responsible for return postage.
