closing my account problems please help

I've reached out to eBay Help 3 times now and the issue is still ongoing.

I have a small balance which I've told eBay they could keep so that I could close my account.

Each time I contacted help they have told me it would happen within the next 10 days ... and it never is.

Each time I have to go through the confirmation of the funds being kept by ebay. Each time I'm told Ihave to wait 10 days ..,. This has been ongoing since mid January.

How do I close my account???

This is the exact steps I've followed 3 times now ... it doesn't work.

I've reached out to via chat and am assured the account will be closed in 10 working days ... it hasn't happened those 3 times.

Live chat cs staff just type whatever the script they are given tells them to say

Very often, what they tell you is incorrect or simply 'goes nowhere'

Have you asked to speak with a supervisor instead?

I don't know about eBay, but when I tried to close my PayPal account a few years ago due repeated hacking attempts that PayPal refused to take seriously, I had just over $2 balance (which was pointless) and I had to 'given them permission' to donate the amount before I could close my account. I don't know if eBay works the same way, but thought I would mention that on the off chance
