havent been recieving any email notifications from ebay for over a week now and the only help is the automated assistant which is useless

Have you been checking your spam folder?

A few people have said the same thing

Not seen anyone return to respond to other members asking, so not much folks here can do

As sandy said, others have suggested problems as well.

I am still getting my sales ones coming thru (with iinet), so it may be your service provider issue, another thread suggested checking online and adding to the white list, look back at other posts.

my email is fine with messages from anywhere else,just ebay ones for items ive listed,sold or payout notifications

nothing in spam,worst part is that theres no one to contact at ebay,there isnt even a category in seller help

Has just happened to me in the last week, not receiving any emails from ebay and nothing in junk/spam. Very strange!

Earlier today I made a purchase and at first it seemed as though I hadn't received the confirmation email. It wasn't in my inbox or spam folder. Eventually I found it had been sent straight to my archive folder!

I'm using a little tablet, so if others who are not getting emails are using a phone or tablet to check email rather than a desktop, maybe check other folders ( or 'all mail') .

The odd thing is that I'm still getting other eBay emails going to inbox or promotions folders- just the purchase email went walkies.

I sold a couple of items today.

Email notifications came through, as always.

I do check my Overviews daily, so a lack of notifications would not impact my ability to process sales.

I'm receiving all emails from eBay OK, using WIN 10 and Thunderbird email server.

I have tried all the suggestions I have found but I still do not get email notifications from eBay. It is not a problem with Optusnet, my ISP. Surely others have encountered this problem and have eventually managed to find a solution?

Dont be so sure its not your ISP, a few others have mentioned Optus in their comments here. Even though you may be recieving other emails, Optus may have Ebay on a blacklist due to Spam at some stage.

Mine are fine but with iinet

It’s not Optus.

I have little doubt it’s an intermittent issue striking a small cohort - an eBay issue.

Recently I rang a contact to check if they were OK as no reply to several emails. She told me she had noticed that emails were dropping off her phone. I asked if she knew this, why not login to her emails on her tablet - which she did while we had this somewhat weird conversation. Yes, the emails were there. I suggested that as she knew there was a problem with her phone/optus/emails, maybe a good idea to at least check her emails via tablet once a week.

Throwing this experience into the ring just in case useful.

I have the same issue and I am also with Optus for emails. Is any user experiencing this who is NOT with Optus? And are any Optus email users receiving Item Sold emails? I still receive some promotional or system type emails from ebay but not Item Sold or buyer messages for about 3 weeks.

Hi jfmgray,

My ISP is iiNet, and I'm not receiving eBay email notifications for items I've sold (and they're definitely not going to Spam). However, I am still receiving monthly eBay seller statement emails, plus emails for eBay payouts, along with email notifications for items I've purchased, for 'Saved Search' items, and even items I've made offers on as a prospective buyer...

Just not email notifications for items I've sold. The last sold item email notification I received from eBay was on April 7th 2024.

I have followed the instructions I have found but without success. I get emails from everyone except eBay. I try to remember to check my Sold page as often as possible but sometimes I find that one or more buyers have ordered and paid for items several days earlier without me being notified. There doesn't appear to be any way of rectifying this. I have been selling on eBay since 2010 and have never had this problem before.

Happening to me right now, 27/7/2024 ..started on approximately 17/7/2024 was on live chat for 45 minutes....and they eventually admitted it is an Ebay bug and they are "working to resolve it asap" Not getting alerts for sales or messages is no big deal, I have 3 stores and I'm in them every day, so I still my messages via Ebay, BUT not getting saved search alerts is a big problem, as that's how I buy my stock ( for one of my other stores) It also leads me to think that if I'm not getting notifications of saved searches, then there's a chance my customers are also not getting notification for THEIR saved searches, which may explain why my sales have fallen by nearly 50% in the last 7-10 days.
