THIS APP IS BROKEN!! NOTHING THE USER CAN DO WILL FIX THE PROBLEM
CURRENTLY ITS NOT WORKING properly ON ANY OF MY ANDROID DEVICES SINCE AROUND
January 26th 2025 (missing item image no buy it button and more !!)

I see users are reporting a technical problem in the Android app experience causing listings to be missing pictures, descriptions, and the all important buy button

The problem appears to be wide-reaching with users in the UK impacted as well - for example this UK user tagged @askeBay on X with a video clearing showing the issue. Ebay need to get to grips with this as its not fit for the purpose at the moment

You will need to tell eBay

They are highly unlikely to read your post, as they rarely read here at all

Yelling at other members won't help

Especially when members here are well aware the app is known for issues, always has been and likely always will be

So if this is a new issue on top of the known existing issues, even more reason to use the real site instead

eBay rarely visit the boards, and presumably already know there is a problem.

Generally, we are members similar to yourself and cannot fix anything.

The app has never worked properly.

Try using the full site, which will be accessible through the internet on your phone.

Yes i know all that thank you Interesting that up till now iv'e never had a problem with the app How are you so sure that Ebay don't read anything here ??

because years ago, the eBay Community Manager invited a handful of members into a private chat forum to get some feedback on impending changes to these boards . . . and basically said eBay employees don't read the general boards.

They do post on the Announcements and Technical boards, but not Buying, Selling, Community Spirit etc.

**edited to add** not sure exactly why, but I was one of the few that was invited to the private chat forum, go figure 🫤

I feel your pain....as this is the Tech board (ebay should be looking at it).....but (as we have become accustomed) they 'fix' one thing and in the process 'destroy' another....try 'reporting' on the US boards

If you are having problems with the latest version of the eBay app, what operating system version number are you using?

Many folks using Android 7 seem to be having problems bidding and buying lately.

Using Android 11, the latest version of the eBay app seems to be working for me.

It is not clear which other Android versions work or do not work with the app.

Many thanks for that info ( Big Tick) yes seems to be fine on my phone but not on my Samsung Tabs which are earlier versions

Yes i wish at least they would say which versions are affected, but normally when I've downloaded from the app store for other things and it alerts me to the fact that my version will not be supported, but in this case the app installed ok on the Samsung tabs

If the folks in this thread having a problem could mention which versions of Android they are using, then we could probably figure that out ourselves.

So far it appears that Android 7 has issues.

Android 11 and above seem to be OK, unless anyone knows differently.

Anyone using Android 8, 9 or 10?

Finally discovered that earlier versions of Android will not be able to use this app fully

From my standpoint i am on android 7 on my Samsung tablets which cannot be upgraded further . Having said my phone which runs on the latest android version works perfectly as

some have stated. Therefore i will have to use the full site on my Tabs

Ebay may fix this eventually or discontinue support for earlier versions who knows 🤔

same in vic australia - items missing from 26 to 31st of jan , but not on android on main frame computer is not working either , and selling , photo are not dropping into boxs - was told it was only a victoria site issue in australia , but seems it is world wide . also my sales just went dead in water from lots of sales and then nothing , from 35 sales in a week to 3 sales in a week . what is going on ebay , this issue started when the so called drones appeared across the world in strange places . then peoples tec started to do strange things also telstra services keep going very strange and working to not working at all .
