Mobile app bug causes wrong size to be selected when added to cart

I found a replicatable bug in the ebay mobile app that caused me to purchase the wrong size for an item.

To replicate the bug:

1. Add an item with multiple sizes to choose from to your watchlist.

2. Go to your watchlist in the app and tap on the watched item.

3. Change the item size to something else then add it to cart.

4. Item has reverted its selected size back to before you changed it.

I replicated this problem with multiple items in the ebay app on android.

I don't think it's just the app, nor a bug.

With the full version you are also required to select the size n colour before saving it to watchlist.

That means the one saved in watchlist is always the original choice.

To make a changed purchased try going from watchlist then change then save to watchlist again.

Then you will see you have 2 saved in watchlist.

Just the way the eBay system works.

No, it was a bug. I messaged them on Twitter and they said it should of changed the size when adding to cart and it definitely should not have done what happened in my video. I gave them some extra info that they asked for so hopefully a fix rolls out soon.

Unfortunately the call centre girls in the phillipines say a lot of things that aren't correct.

But lets hope that's the case and they fix it.

I have had this happen for around 5 years so I still think it's part of the system. We'll see.
