Help - random PayPal transaction

Hi,

I just won an auction and went to pay. I do have paypal account attched to Ebay but i wanted to use a different CC (Visa prepaid). I put in all the card details details and went to checkout but it said it cound not process the tranascation using that card. The at the exact same time i recived a notication from the Visa card that a tranascation had been processed through paypal. I hadnt even logged into paypal so i dont knwo whats happening, The ammount procesed isnt even the same ammount as the purchase. Any ideas?

Was it an overseas transaction that involved conversion fees? That could account for a different amount. There could also have been a cross border fee.

If you are using a card that is not attached to your paypal account you do not even log into paypal....as soon as you put in the details you have paid. There is no need to go into your paypal account.
