Checkout seems wrong...

I hope I am asking this in the right place, if I aren't please excuse me.

Basically I am having a technical issue with the ebay checkout system.

For as long as I can remember the ebay checkout page has always looked the same, with slightly rounded boxes that had drop shadows. At the right side of the page there was a white box that had some text in it.

Cart summary

Total:

Proceed to checkout.

A banner for Ebay Money Back Guarantee

and below that :

About your cart, which had a set of links below it.

At the bottom of the page under the items you planned to buy there was another rounded box that contained a summary.

The subtotal of what was in your cart.

Postage costs.

The total cost.

Plus there were two buttons, A grey one that read continue shopping and a blue one that said Proceed to checkout.

Oh and the page used to be titled "Your eBay Shopping Cart."

Its URL was cart.payments.ebay.com.au

However this morning when I was going to buy an item, I noticed the page looks totally different. Frankly the page I was encountering looked less detailed compared to the old page. It has square boxes with harsh edges.

This new page is also totally missing the following items from the old page...

The About your cart, and the set of links below it.

The rounded box at the bottom of your item list that contained a summary.

The subtotal of what was in your cart.

Postage costs.

The total cost.

The two aforementioned buttons. The grey one that read continue shopping and the blue one that said Proceed to checkout.

As well as the fact that the page just looks wrong...

My browser reports me as having never visited the page before and the url is now : https://cart.ebay.com.au/

I guess what I am asking is, is the new URL the real Ebay checkout or am ending up at a phishing site?

I did not notice anything different when I went through Checkout early this morning but if you are worried about it give Checkout a miss and log straight into your paypal account and pay from there.
