For the past half a year now I have been constantly needing to cal eBay customer support to remove my late shipment defects. All my items get sent within 1 business day from purchase and have a tracking number provided with them proving when it was sent.

However even though when I send a batch of 30 or so items, still 3 or 4 of them will be tagged as late shipment so I always need to call customer support so they can get rid of them(getting too many effects my top seller level), this has been like a part time job but nobody I speak with on the phone can offer any resolution to my issue and it's clearly a glaring problem with the system so can anyone from the technical team take note of this issue and deal with it, or can anyone else here confirm that it is also happening to you? It is taking up so much of my time that I desperately need.

No I do not want to do that as my handling time being 1 business day is one of the most attractive reasons customers purchase my products and that expectation is met 99% of the time but is labelled as late 50% of the time, this is an issue on ebays end and I want to know if they are aware of it and are working on a solution for it.

To be honest I don't know anyone that looks at handling times.

For that one needs to select the postage section unless it's mentioned in your description. Even then it doesn't always show in postage.

You can still post immediately.

And if it eleviates the defect issue it's worth it IMO. Won't think eBay will fix that in a hurry.

Just looked at some of your listings and handling time is not shown anywhere.

Do you know for certain that your one day posting time is why people are buying from you? If I want an item, it doesn't matter to me what the handling time is. I just bought an item that had a one day handling time, and they have take three business days to send it, and that makes me cranky. If they had said five days handling and sent it in three then I would have been happy.

I used to have a three day handling time on my listings, then the computer went bung. Luckily, it was fixed quickly, and I still managed to post my sold items within the three days, but it alarmed me, and made me realize that life is so unpredictable that any manner of things could happen to prevent me from sending out items within three days. For one, with a bung computer, I wouldn't even consider logging in on a public computer, as I am just too aware of the risks in that....But what if I had an accident and was in hospital, or the car broke down, or I was just too sick to get out of bed? Lots of other scenarios come to mind, so I have changed my handling time to

10 DAYS, and guess what?? Customers are absolutely delighted when I post in one day, which is what I try to do anyway, and I get feedbacks stating "quick postage" which anyone can see if they are concerned about the 10 days. Also, anyone wanting anything in a hurry could always contact me and ask if I could send it quicker, and then I would explain the situation to them.

As a result, I have never had a late delivery.

Not sure if this will be relevent to your situation, but maybe the problem is due to a timezone issue and some items are being flagged as late because they fall outside one day for that reason.

Make sure that your ebay account is registered in the same timezone as you actually reside in.

Also perhaps check to see if the items flagged as late were purchased very early in a day or very late at night.

When I first signed up with ebay many years ago, they registered my account on the US site with an Australian address and AU$ price tags and it wasn't for a few months of things going haywire that we discovered why. I had to get ebay to change it at their end to fix the problems it was causing at the time.

As I said, I don't know whether this suggestion will help you or not but it is something worth looking into.

My account is registered in the same timezone as my own so no issues there but when i see the dates on when my sold items need to be sent by they vary from being needed to be sent within 1-3 days despite all of them are set to have a 1 buisness day handling time.

For example one of my items were sold at 9am but does not need to be sent till 2 days after that day where as an item sold after or before that one needs to be sent within one day it is very random when they need to be send by and this is my theory on why some of them maybe flagged as late shipment which is very annoying.

But by doing that you are not making any allowance for Australia Post holding things up.

If you set your handling time to 2 or 3 days but still send within 24 hours you are allowing for AP to be slow. Buyers will get their parcels within the estimated delivery dates and no defects for you.

If an item sells at 9am on Friday, then the post by date is going to be a few days later due to the weekend.

I have a 5 day handling time, but still post same or next day. The results of that are, buyers are over the moon when their item arrived before the first estimated date. I've never had a postage defect.

I would be changing your handling time. You don't have a premium badge, so you don't stand to lose anything. I looked at a few of your items and they said delivery guaranteed by Oct 19. Fat chance of that happening! Only way that would happen is if it was sent express (which wasn't an option under the postage tab).
