for some time now when I relist unsold auction items as a fixed price with free post ebay will often not amend the post cost displayed in listing,

this does not always happen and today 1 out of 6 showed free post,

Can go in and individually amend post cost on each listing,

when I do It shows that item has free post but displays the cost used in the original auction listing and that is the cost displayed on the listing,

Feel sure it is because ebay has it's stupid postage business policies which it seems to randomly allocate to wherever they want when I list an aiction item

An obvious pain in the **bleep**

Bulk relist them and when you're in the bulk relister you can edit the postage on each one (or in batches) and apply the relevant business policy.

do that but won't work,

only way I've been able to do it is edit each item once I have relisted it
