To All sellers:

There is nusty bug with Markdown Manager. I have set a 20% discount widestore sale however over third of my items where marked with 60% - 75% discount and sold as such. This has been ongoing for a while. Initially eBay admitted the bug but now is ignoring my messages. I have sold many items over markdowned price and suffered quite big losses.

I would be explaining to the buyers that it's an eBay glitch and to contact eBay to complain.

Then cancel the transactions choosing an option that won't get defects.

It's a complete waste of time emailing eBay, you will usually get a bot-generated response. Phone them instead (or preferably get them to call you back) and ask to speak to a supervisor if the first CS rep can't/won't help you.

Their answer was: "They cant reach me on the phone" - which is a bull but yeah i will call them...

I am more interested if other sellers are experincing same issue...

Do not EVER put your Email in a public post as scammers/spammers love careless people that do and bombard

them with fake Emails to try and hijack the account.

So be careful opening any Email that you are not 100% certain off.

It will also be removed as it is against board policy. Which you are doubtless also aware of.

I have never used markdown manager, but I know that there have been issues with it for quite a while.

I use promotions, which can be run for any period (mine is perpetual, as it's a volume discount) and doesn't seem to have the same problems that MM does.

It just means buyers can't see that an item has been discounted.

If you mean the email address, eBay staff do not read here at all

The board mods are from a different company and do not get involved with eBay glitches/errors/stuff ups

Why would you use markdown manager for one item? Just change the price and put it back up when the 'sale' has finished.

For that matter, why pay for a store for one item?

It does, i am getting all my losses back, they admitted the bug. Just raising awareness if other sellers have the same issue...

Sounds like there is no awareness to be raised, as no one else seems to be having that issue.

As for "getting all my losses back", good luck with that one!

Don't forget to raise your prices on Amazon, given the fees are higher than eBay. Don't want you having any more losses.
