viewing item pictures

whi us it that when you mouse over the item pictures to get the zoom on the item it then locks up after the 2nd or 3rd pic, then you have to go to the square it gives you on the pic then it gives you the pictures with the back and forwar arrow to view the items different pics, with NO zoom affect so you can get a closer look at small print like model numbers etc, why was it changed from the older but much better functionality of the mouse on the pic to zoom in on it ??

Fri is maintenance day on ebay & anything can & will be skewed.....try again later

thats got nothing to do with it being friday, even more reason to get it fixed, its been happening for weeks now

Doesn't happen to me.

You made no mention of the amount of time it's been happening to you in your initial post, so how are we to know? We are not mindreaders, and despite the blurb, eBay do not read or respond to board posts, so they don't even know of your complaint.

Try clearing cache and cookies, switching browsers and rebooting your computer. Assuming you're not using the app, in which case I cannot advise further. The app is an illconceived attempt at smartphone compatibility, which eBay obviously didn't get professionals to develop.

It happens to us on the occasional listing, but not often.

It's annoying, but as it rarely happens, we don't get upset about it.

Our thought is that it may have something to do with the photos on the listing, whether it's the file type, or resolution, or something similar.

thats got nothing to do with it, theres a problem with the pics and it needs to be fixed, i posted in the technical issues for a reason.......to get someone from ebay to answer. <Removed>

I hate to burst your bubble, but eBay reps do not read or answer on the boards despite what they intimate.

The best you can do is try "live chat" but you will probably get fobbed off with a generic answer...............
