I am on the Ebay site for 6yrs, and in that time I buy and sell many items. In some instances the seller is deceptive in their products, and other buyers difficult in dealing with in terms of postage and shipping.

How many of you customers knew that even if you registered in Australia, that your details are still on the American site, but if you post a listing, it doesn't automatically revert to Australian dollars. I only just found out that you need to login to Ebay.com.au first to list on the Australian site. And that won't list items on the American site or vice versa.

Everytime I listed on Ebay.com, the listing all display in American dollars and might not ship to Australia written on the listing, even though I list the item as in Australia.

This confusing, often complicated garbled site of many webpages needs to simplify into one webpage, that automatically reverts to your own currency that you post in.

No, sorry I know if I list on eBay.com that I am listing on the American eBay site

Given I am registered in and live in Australia, I do not feel any need to go to the American website instead when I want to list something on my selling ID

Not sure how this is a technical issue rather than posting on the incorrect site

A search of a particular item listed on ebay Australia will bring up a banner that states -

X items found from eBay international sellers

And that's where your items are seen by American buyers in their own currency.

Why list on eBay.com.

You list in Australia - your listing description & postage shows you send to the US - and will show the currency you accept.

Sorry - and will show up on US searches - as it would in all countries you have added to your list of willing to post to.

2 entirely different sites, different rules, different fees etc.

Why would they want to operate as one web page.

You need to change the postage preferences on your listing to global and then also go into prohibited country list and check/uncheck countries so your listing can be viewed internationally aswell.
