topic cant ring ebay in Technical Issues

Ebay restricted my account due to a sign in issue, i have tried multiple times to ring ebay, they keep hanging up. When i request them to call me the phone rings and then hangs up. What is going on, how do i get in contact with them? I cant buy anything due due to restrcition.

They don't have a phone number at the moment.

I am not sure what number you are calling, as has been said, they do not have a phone number (and it is well over two years since the call center closed)

Are you sure you are not calling the 'scam' phone number that is listed as being 'eBay' ?

That would explain the hanging up when you call them/they call you

Are you sure they hang up or did the phone just ring and because nobody answered it was disconnected?

I don't know if sellers have a contact number here (buyers certainly don't). In the USA, last month I bought something from a very helpful seller who wanted to change postage from the GSP to a better option, but there were some problems, so he said he was going to call eBay, and he was back in just a few minutes. I was soooo surprised he could get through and didn't even have to wait.
