Can't delete sold items - why?

I can't delete sold items, it has not been an issue in the past. Why is this happening?

The word “Friday” posted by davewil conveys everything that is probably happening at the moment with the issue of deleting sold items. Friday is the regular eBay “maintenance day”, when IT coding errors and poor patches and testing and mucking about with purported web architecture solutions occur. (Or - putting it simply - it’s the day of eBay glitches.)

If something suddenly doesn’t work on eBay on a Friday, “glitches” is the usual explanation, and a simple mention of its being Friday conveys all of that with admirable succinctness.
