eBay Login Impossible Loop

I am really frustrated by eBay. I am trying to login to my eBay Australia account to change my contact phone number, but I cannot get past the "Verify your account info - We'll send you a text -----". My issue is that I am currently in New Caledonia with a NC mobile number and there is to way of sending a text message to me until I can change my Mobile Number on "My eBay", because my eBay registered mobile number is a Vanuatu number.

I have changed my password, I have tried logging in with Apple and Google, but everything keeps coming back to "Text. We'll text you at 7xxxx35* with a security code." - this is my old Vanuatu mobile number which cannot be reached.

I tried using the Help Assistant to get a real person to call me, but it only accepts Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada country codes.

There is no way to send the Security Code to me by email.

Please help.

None of us other members can help. We don't have access to your account. Maybe talk to eBay.

Or open a new account in your country of residence. Wherever that is, or might be in the next few months.

If you choose the "reset password" option that can be reached through the "Need help signing in?" link on the page where you enter your password, there should be a contact link there specifically for users having problems signing in. Use that to try to get in touch with eBay.

No matter what I tried, kept going around in a loop. No valid mobile number - no security code and no My eBay. Finally resorted to sending emails to every eBay address I could find and to posting on other chat sites. Not sure what worked, but magically, My eBay let me in to my account without the security code yesterday and I was able to change my mobile number. All good now.

I have not received any response to my emails from eBay. Unfortunately for them, I placed my orders on Amazon because I could not get into my eBay account.

Did you know that I could not log into this website with his_772 and post a reply to members suggestions without a security code. It is only now that I can post here again now that My eBay account is working again. What a shemozzle eBay.
