cancel and Refund ebay Plus membership

I was automatically charged by ebay plus membership today till 19th Aug 2020.

eBat did not notify me before the renewal.

But I don't want the membership, I have cancel it. I want refund as I don't need it.

I hv registered ebay in 2010, being a alomost 10-year customer. This is my first time getting **bleep** by ebay Call Centre.

Any suggestion about refund？

I am also in a similar boat. Hit sign up with the offer of a $50 voucher. Was charged the $49 sign up fee, but no voucher came. Try to cancel and get a refund but there is no option for refund anywhere or anywhere to contact a human

I'm in a similar spot. I've never seen a company not refund at least a pro rata refund for a cancelled subscription, unless it was a monthly one.

I just messaged ebay customer support and I just did it under account>signing up for an ebay account (cause there wasn't an option for cancellation) and I explained my situation and they let me go with a one-off oppurtunity with a refund. Hopefully they'll let you get a refund as well.

I just messaged customer support via live chat & they processed a refund as well. You have 14 days cooling off period after the funds have been paid. Very helpful. May take 3-4 weeks for refund to process.

I found the option to cancel my membership under eBay plus in my account, I started the cancellation process and was offered a $30 gift card to continue my membership, which was a fair offer considering the membership fee was $48.99. I hope this information helps.

It doesn't seem ethical that eBay does not notify you that your membership will be renewed soon.
Ethically, they could eaily give you 3 months, 1 month and 1 day's warning but instead, they subtract the amount from your PayPal account, When you cancel, you have a year to wait until the cancellation happens.
It's a bad practice and I would think a practice beyong eBay. Shame!

I had requested a refund to ebay customer service on the same day when I saw my bank account was charged $48.99 however they kept saying "you have received the $5 voucher for this month and you will be receiving the $5 voucher for next 12 months, So I would request you to take advantage of eBay plus benefits." Even though I cancelled and made it prevelent that I didn't want ebay plus and I didn't authorise the transaction they still wouldn't give me my refund.

I signed up for trial and forgot about it until the payment hit my account. I contacted eBay the same day to cancel & request refund. The service manager I chatted with only responded “as a customer I would read the t&c before hitting the subscription button.” Obviously no refund. How lovely

Go into the eBay Plus in your account and follow the prompts to cancel from there.

Messages here and calls to Live Chat will not help

That is something you need to do yourself, other members cannot cancel it for you

You will need to cancel before the due date, or you will be charged for a full year again

I have tried this, might be to do withe Australian eBay account because they do not have this function available to cancel!!! What a rort! I’ve tried to dispute with PayPal and they won’t refund me. So I have just gone in and deleted my PayPal account from eBay instead. Shame on you EBay!
