eBay doesn't read here, only other members.

There are so many scams going around especially ones that require you to press 1 in acceptance of scammers to use your info.

I am sure eBay staff are already aware.

I received a robo-call saying a purchase had been made on my account for A$350 approx, and advising to push 1 etc if I hadnt made the purchase. I did not do this. I hung up and went and checked my ebay account and changed password on everything.

Ebay you need to be aware of this.

I am very glad to hear you did not press 1

Others have (and some by their own admission 'to see what happens')

No doubt they are still regretting it

Many threads on this and related scams

Nothing to do with eBay though (but there is no way they could not know about such calls) these scammers claim to be from all kinds of places, eBay being only one of them

Well done.

Yes, I am sure eBay knows about these scams, but they are not the only ones that are targeted. Banks, the ATO and many more are also targeted.

People just have to be aware of these scams and be very, very cautious. As far as eBay is concerned, they say on their website that they usually also send an email to people when they make a phone call so that they can be sure it's them.
