Who have you been trying to contact?

This is a member to member forum, nobody here has changed your account, and contacting eBay or a seller is not going to change it either

There is no contact phone number, the call center closed about 4 years ago

eBay Help is at the top of every page

Did you sign in with your own username and password to eBay directly

Or did you sign in via one of the social media options?

The account you are posting with was only opened today, are you talking about another account you already had?

Or did you somehow accidently open a brand new account rather than sign in to the one you already had?

I think I have cancelled the new account as I must have unknownley started a new one

You’ve not cancelled it; you have opened a new one by signing in with google or Facebook or something of that sort (or so I presume). Judy lig out, and then log in with your email and password as usual.
