    <description>Very good of you. The amount is small but not the point. The first step I took was to find out why. I cannot see anywhere in my account that I have signed up for an EBAY TRIAL (which I would remember - I am in SaaS myself). So I spent 10 minutes reviewing as many menus as I could see - to no avail. It has been a whSandy, thank you - I doubt I sighned up to Ebay Plus, and I have no idea what SmartyCash is - which menu, would you know, I should be looking for. I have looked under obvious one, called Subscriptions but nothing</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;This is desperate.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have to go to a Community board to ask how I can actually get hold of EBAY to ask them why they are billing me an amount every month. I tried their HELP - and the Contact Us leads you down a path and you cannot get to send an email&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If ever I saw a way to screw your brand up, this is a great way.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can anybody help me - I just want to get hold of someone at EBAY and ask they why they are billing me. I could close my account but that's probably next step if I cannot solve this&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;eBay are unlikely to read your post, only *sometimes* do eBay staff respond to anything posted on the member to member forum&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Closing your account will not solve anything, if eBay are billing you, they will recover those 'fees' by any means available regardless&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What are they billing you for?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did you sign up to eBay Plus and not cancel correctly before the paid period kicked in?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did you sign up to SmartyCash back?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sending an email would be pointless, it is an automated bot service&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are numerous options under 'eBay Help' if your issue is indeed not there, pick the closest one&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You may need to keep trying until you can reach a supervisor&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But without any 'basic detail' of what these bills are for, other members can only guess it is something like eBay Plus which was not cancelled and, as agreed to when signing up, fees charged for&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Emails are dealt with via a bot-driven process responding at the speed of a slothful slug, with responses prompted by keywords detected in the email. The replies are almost always wildly wrong and are in any case nonspecific and without human input.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What is the billing amount? Did you sign up for an eBay Plus trial and forget to cancel before the end of the trial period?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Post here and the community here are quite likely to be able to help, probably to better effect than eBay CS (in most cases). Just be careful not to include personal details in your post (such as your name, address, email or phone number) - but the amount you’re being billed will tell us a lot.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you prefer, you can contact eBay Live Chat by going to any Help page and scrolling down to the “contact us” link. (Use whatever topic best fits or will get you through.)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Thank you - I found a menu, then a sub menu under FEES and that DID open up a chat. I then asked the CHATBOT to escalate me to a human being and finally I have someone. Wow, that's a really bad experience. Thank you for your help</description>

      <description>You are most welcome. I am glad you were able to reach a human, hopefully one who will know what is going on. SmartyCash back have/had 'offers' where you get a $15voucher for signing up, and like eBay Plus, charge fees for doing so after the 'free' period is over</description>

For instance, if you are being billed $4.99 a month (or $49 annually), that’s an eBay Plus subscription. Other possibilities (which I thought less likely as you’d see a different biller showing in your bank/card statement) might be xcover or SmartyCash.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yes, the Help options for “Contact us” do seem to be purely automated at first glance… and with rigidly defined topics, but you could select the Account option, narrow it down to a possible hacked account (on the basis that you’re being charged for something to which you’ve no recollection of subscribing), and pushing on until you get a human.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I still suggest posting the amount you’re charged here; once we know the amount, in all likelihood we can tell you how to cancel it. In fact, several community members have posted threads outlining what people need to do with cancelling different subscriptions - as it’s a constant issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;eBay CS can’t cancel subscriptions on your behalf.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
