I left on my

listing the option to pay by afterpay -

I cannot see the money come

through in my afterpay account. Am I missing a link or doing something?

You won’t be paid into an Afterpay account.

Are you not aware of Managed Payments? You must be signed up to MP, with your identity verified by photo ID and your bank account verified with either login credentials or micro deposits. Funds will be disbursed into your linked verified bank account. That is the only way in which sellers can be paid.

As a new seller (by which eBay means not only new sellers but also infrequent or “back after a break” sellers), your funds will be held anyway for up to 14 days or longer. If you don’t go through the signup and verification processes, you won’t be paid at all.
