Question Re: Is the global shipping programme very slow sometimes?? in Packaging & Shipping

Yes. Mist definitely. Nit only slow but overpriced and smacks of fraud. I recently purchased two items from the states. One via GSP and one via U.S.P.S. The U.S.P.S.article cost $18.50 was tracked all the way and arrived in seven days. The GSP article cost $35.45 tracked all the way and took fifteen days to arrive. Both were plastic models kits weighing less the 500g(1lb). Most interesting was the listing for the GSP article stated priority mail but when it arrived it clearly stated that it was sent via economy. GSP is clearly for the benefit of eBay as they get a double cut with free in there somewhere and commission on the shipping charge now. Maybe eBay should take over from the mafia as they, are obviously better at robbing you blind while not breakimy any laws (or so they think)

Yes, definitely slow.

Although it states that the service is a Priority service Pitney Bowes only pays FedEx for an economy service. Once the items arrive in Australia they can sit in the FedEx depot for weeks until they are delivered....sometimes by FedEx and sometimes by Australia Post.

By the way, US sellers do not pay fees on the overseas component of the GSP shipping, only on the internal postage to send the item to Kentucky.
