why does it take so long for an order to arrive?

I would like to know why it takes a seller to post a small parcel from Sydney when it normally takes max. three days and it takes them TWO weeks!

Certainly sounds like you have bought from a seller registered in China who pretends to post from Sydney

That aside, I am very happy for you that you usually get your local mail within 3 days, that’s amazing considering many people here are having to wait an average of one to two weeks or more due to Coronavirus (despite the last poster here refusing to believe that is causing mail delays)

Some of my items have taken 5-6 weeks to get to QLD from Adelaide with the delays at the moment. Austpost told me that early on a heap of parcels went into a warehouse storage centre and are being sent out of order in a very slow pace. I have had items that have been in Australia from overseas for over a month before they get to me. crazy times

Because some sellers have a life outside of eBay and may not be able to post any quicker. Check their stated postage time and do not buy if you do not agree with it. No one I know is getting their mail (even local mail ) in three days, so you must be very lucky. Are you aware that there is a pandemic? Do do not seem to know anything about the postal delays, suggest you ask Australia Post about that. It has been well publicised, on eBay and everywhere else. If you think an individual seller is taking too long to post, you need to ask them about it, they may have a very valid reason.
