Postage with Sendle In Townsville

I tried to send an eBay purchase with Sendle for the first time today.

I tried several drop off points for Sendle, that I had checked were in my City, that were listed by Sendle. Townsville Qld.

Unfortunately they all did not accept packages, or know what I was talking about.

So I now will be back sending via Aus Post tomorrow.

Disappointed for many reasons.

If all the horror stories and big thumbs down about Sendle are anything to go by

Sendle tend to use Aramex (Fastway) as their courier of choice.

Because Aramex tends to be cheapest. The average Aramex owner/operator driver (the only type they use) earns a tad over $68k. This would before operating costs. Fuel, maintenance, vehicle lease, registration, insurance...

Pay peanuts, get monkeys, which appears to be Aramex's business model.

Which is about half what StarTrack couriers were taking home in early 2020....so peanuts and monkeys sounds right.

The figure I quoted was from a reputable website. It's an average, so many would get less. Aramex is not going to guarantee income to sub-contractors. What if they are slack? Besides, out of that $82k (if correct) there would be at least $30k of expenses. Not much for the hours

The $82,000 is the current Contract Determination Minimum Guarantee.... $1600-$1700 per week.
