I recently paid for an item and the seller got

in contact to say they’d under charged postage. Are they allowed to ask for more?

No they aren't, but maybe you can come to an agreement with the seller otherwise they'll probably cancel the sale.

I would ask them to cancel the sale and relist the item as buy now, with the correct postage specified. If they are trying to gouge the postage or bypass ebay fees, then do not re buy the item and report them to ebay

If they have found they undercharged - perhaps the item has already been sent ?? Is it marked ' sent '.
