I bought an item overseas, total cost was 790 eros including tax and postage, that converts to $1301,ebay charged $1353 why?

eBay charge the exchange rate applicable at the time of the transaction, not the time you looked at the listing. Or the exchange rate you looked up on google.

So how did you pay. Current PP rate would equal $1376.82

Thanks for your replies, I have re checked the exchange rate and it looks like I was charged the going rate
