Question Re: Returns. in Search

Ginette, sorry too say but these flashes were never designed to work with TTL, they never made one with TTL, The seller has been somewhat misleading by putting TTL in the description.

They are basically a manual flash and can only be used in manual Mode or as a slave. That is why you are only paying $100 for one instead of the $500+ for a quality flash that will support TTL.

I use one as slave and find it works very well for the price.

There is a work around if you are game, it will require you to use a Bobby pin and slide One end of it under the hotshoe to the right or left of the centre pin making another contact point which I believe will give it TTL control, I have heard this from a few users and they say it works but personally I wouldn't do it, you could fry your cameras circuitry if you are not careful.

It will end up costing you more too return it than what it's probably worth.

I purchased a YN560EX TTL shoe flash. But was sent one that does not talk to my Canon 550D. I was sent a YN560EX -without the TTL on the end. The retailer is in Hong Honk I have sent several emails to the company but they say I need to contact the retailer but we speak different languages. When I went to his site, I could not read where to send him a message.

It also states in the item description

One cannot use TTL if mounted on camera or with an additional radio flash trigger
