Bidder created their eBay account today?

Got a bid on one of my items, which is great! However I had a look at the profile and they made the account today with no feedback and nothing on their page.. is this suspicious??

when I joined eBay 5 years ago (on another ID) I did so specifically to bid on something I had searched for before becoming a member. I had to replace my film camera and didn't want to join eBay unless I could find a replacement at a reasonable price. When I saw that they were selling for much less than I thought they would I joined and started bidding on items. Nothing unusual, I joined to bid on items. After a while I set up a second eBay ID, and started bidding on items on that ID as well.

The only thing I would be wary of is if they contact you via eBay messages wanting to do a deal outside of eBay and requesting that you make contact via email rather than eBay messages. Scammers do set up accounts and try to scam sellers by offering to buy outside of eBay to help the seller avoid eBay fees. Once they have your email address they send fake eBay/PayPal emails that look realistic to try to dupe you into sending the item before funds have 'cleared, even though no funds have been paid or sent.
