Question Re: winning bidder delays payment in Selling on eBay

2 weeks is a very long time to let buyers combine items for postage.

Some buyers do use this tactic, purchase an item, wait until the very last day possible for payment, and then purchase another one.

All you can do is open an UID for the 1st item, and if they havnt paid for the second item in the time stipulated, then do the same thing.

I would shorten your terms to 7 days for combining.

Send one reminder, and then open disputes.

You have to develop a hard skin on ebay, they are your terms not the buyers, and you have to stick to them.

winning bidder delays payment

I have said in my preferences somewhere that I will combine postage for items won at auction over a 2 week period.

The sale date of the 1st item was 16.6.12. I contacted him the same day regarding postage options ... - no answer. I asked again on 18.6.12. Around this time I sent him payment info. He asked was it ok if he held off payment because he was interested in other items. I said yes.

On the 3rd july I messaged him saying I had waited over 2 weeks to see if he was going to bid on anything in that period & he hadn't, so I asked him for payment.

Now, 24 days later, he has won another item (10.7.12). Not paid for either item yet.

I am concerned that this bidder will keep on delaying payment by saying he will bid on something coming up. How do I stop this perpetual cycle? What's the best way to handle it?
