Setting a price per item

If I list an item for sale with a fixed price, and have multiple amounts of the same item for sale (no variations, they're books, written by myself), then does the amount that I set count as the price per item?

For example, say I have 2 items at fixed price of $20, and someone buys them both, do they then pay $20 for both items together, or $20 each?

You can do a listing with multiple items available.

A buyer will then enter the quantity they want and pay $20 per book.
