PP claims for pick up only items

What is the current policy. Somebody just bought a large item that was listed pick up only and immediately paid with PP. It's not a newbie, so I am angry they did not even ask before buying. I assume they will want it shipped; is there anything I should or should not do?

I remember that in one stage it was believed that there is no buyer protection for PP payment on pick up only items; is that still the case?

No they may still pick it up. Some buyers want to use a credit in PayPal.

PayPal now offer protection for pick up items but only for INAD obviously.

Not for INR.

I think the policy was implemented in case item ceases to work after 3-4 months and seller doesn't honour warranty.
