Question Re: Delivery time - sellers note in Selling on eBay

What am I supposed to note?

I have no control over AP delivery times, and I doubt couriers are going to be any more efficient.

At the height of the lockdown 80% of my sales were to Melbourne Metro. The tracked ones were delivered in reasonable time-frames. Presumably the untracked ones also were, given a lack of INR cases or negative feedback.

Your particular experiences are not necessarily the norm. And the 1 December one is almost certainly not currently located in Melbourne. You're hardly a newbie.

Disclaimer - as far as I'm aware I've never sold to you, so your threats mean nothing to me.

In the past few weeks I bought number of items within Melbourne with the hope I will get them fast, well week or 10 days. Those posted with AP are taking weeks, one is now "in transit" for over 2.5 weeks. Another one, which had a delivery time in the listing 2 weeks, is now saying "due by 1st December"!!!!!! In meanwhile, the honchos in AP are giving each other huge bonuses and Cartier watches. On the other hand, item I bought late afternoon Wednesday, arrived with FASTWAY today = Friday, YES next day from being posted.

So, I will not risk to buy anything that is coming with AP; would not risk it.

The item that is due by 1st December will probably arrive from China....not very fair to blame AP for that.

Why do you think I am talking to you?
Sellers do not have a control over AP but they do have a choice of how they send.

I have just received the letter posted from place 30km from here on 18thAugust and it got here 26thOctober. Another parcel was actually "on the truck for delivery" on Wednesday, and now the tracking still says "in transit" - that is a parcel that is also coming from only few km from here, and has been in transit for weeks. And several o/s parcels are taking many weeks once they are processed through customs. We are now using DHL for anything we need from o/s, and it gets here in few days from UK, but is pricey.

If my experience is not the norm, than there is something seriously wrong with our local mail delivery. But I have in this moment dozen plus parcels that are taking far too long with AP. Those without tracking are worse. Of course, I do NOT blame the sellers, and have never given bad FB or less than 5 stars because AP is slow to deliver.
