Ebay gumtree promotion doesn't work

I used this promotion on gumtree that allows me to import 2 gumtree ads to ebay for 0 selling fees, normally they work automatically and fees are deducted, but in May, it wasn't working properly and ebay charged me fees for an item I sold that was imported

They told me to wait 15 days for a credit back, so I waited 15 days but nothing was credited after that. They then told me it has been escalated to their "dedicated team" and they will inform me via email when they have processed it

That was back in May, it is now September. 4 months later and I've talked to ebay more than a dozen times, and every time they give me the same textbook answer, "it's been escalated, please wait for email". There are other times where they said they escalated it to "higher management" and I should expect something in 24-48 hours, nothing happened after. Then they would say the case was "lost" in the backlog and they reescalated it, and told me to wait another 5 days maximum, yet again, nothing happened

It was just a string of stalling and false promises, 4 months later and I am still trying to chase this credit from a promotion they gave me that didn't work. I feel like I've been scammed

Had I known the promotions wouldn't work then I wouldn't have sold on ebay, but now I feel like I have been duped and led around in circles. What should I do?

eBay are the only ones whom can give a credit.

Contact again and ask for a senior supervisor.

Agree I am having the same problem they told me that Gumtree were holding payment up. But when I contacted Gumtree they said they have not received any payment from eBay?? Not sure how it works then when I wanted to escalate the chat automatically was cut short and when I tried to get back on it was cut off again. This has to be a ACCC issue surely its appears to be a way in which ebay gets you to list with them and then doesnt pay up. It must be flase and misleading in some way so was wondering if anyone has contacted the ACCC?

There are many others having the same issue and you are better to visit the discussion boards under selling.
