Demands from a collection house.

I have been receiving phone calls and today a text message supposedly from a collection house, saying I owe money to eBay for selling fees dating back a long time. I had not heard from them before today since August, when I spoke to someone on the phone who I was suspicious of and they kept giving me a user name that I have never had. I asked them to fax the invoice to my work fax but never received anything. I put the web address into my computer from the text message and it appears to be a collection house for eBay, but then asks me to log in using the info. on my phone. I am assuming this is also a phishing text, however I am slightly concerned with their threats that this will be escalated if I don't pay. I also feel somewhat safe in that I have never received anything of this nature either via eBay or my email. Am I right in my thinking that this is nothing but phishing? Thank you.

they rely on your fear. ebay will suspend your account if they have a problem. never trust emails or mobile phone.

Rest assured that you dont owe anything.

always go straight to horse's mouth, the source - ask ebay directly before contact an unknown 3rd party.
