I had a customer pay 4 days after winning an item I was selling. I bought a label through eBay and posted it the very next day. Yet the customer raised a ‘haven’t received item’ issue on the same day I posted. Which was the day after he paid.

Now the funds are on hold. EBay also hasn’t reviewed this in 6 days. I can’t understand how this is possible?

When was the last time you sold on this account?

your last feedback as a seller was over a year ago, and, as with every seller, eBay consider you a new seller and will hold your funds for 30 days

As you agreed to when listing, and assuming you fully completed sign up to Managed Payments

no idea how the buyer opened an item not received dispute so fast though. Have you uploaded the tracking to the dispute?

Ebay is probably watching the tracking, they won't refund unless there have been no updates in at least 10 days, suggesting item "lost in transit" as long as there is an initial scan saying the carrier has received it. If tracking shows delivered they will close the case in your favour hopefully, but to be on the safe side make sure tracking is uploaded to the case
