hey guys hope you are all well.

Long story short,

Ive recently started selling in ebay (Dec 2024). Made two mistakes…I had two orders which the Addresses provided in the orders I was unable to send too. So I messaged the both buyers their address was an issue, informed them, both did not respond. So I contacted ebay they said cancel the orders. Unfortunately i did not know it mattered the reason and just chose out of stock (i know).

Reason I cancelled:

The address listed for both was a parcel locker which I hadn't heard of ( a 24/7 parcel pick up only for parcels, not letters). Went onto the postal website and it said a letter could not be not be received there ( as my items were letters, they only accepted parcels). Spoke to Ebay they said if they don't respond, to cancel the order. These are domestic sales not international.

fast forward to now I am below standard seller (says next evaluation i would be rated as above standard), i tried appealing but Ebay denied, after a phone call they agreed to review it.

Is it the case of I wait for the next review and I'm back to normal…. Or is my account stuffed for 12 months. Went from 5 sales a day to 0 this week. Barely any impressions or views… or do I fight this? I have proof in the conversation with the buyers. I have a 100% rating, I have learnt from my mistakes just a bit annoyed at myself!

No you didn't, you've had around 14 sales in the last week.

If you contact eBay CS make sure when talking to them to try and rectify your problem, you don't try to pull the wool over their eyes like this.

Next review will be 22 April, so not 12 months.

There is nothing you can do. You made a mistake, you will have to wear it.

I often send letters to Parcel Lockers. AP seems to divert them to the recipient's home address. I've never had them returned, nor received INR complaints.

Good to see you have grasped firmly the ability to read. I did have 14 sales LAST week. I am referring to Saturday onwards... So not I am not pulling the wool over anyone's eyes hero.

Thanks mate, really appreciate it! I just wasn't sure when i first saw it so went onto auspost and of course they said the opposite 🙄. will know for future reference.

Not quite that simple, defects will affect a review for 3 - 12 months, they don't simply disappear after 1 month.

To make sure we're getting a fair picture, we'll adjust how far we look back (the "evaluation period") depending on how much you've sold recently: If you had more than 400 transactions in the past 3 months, we'll count all those transactions If you had fewer than 400 transactions in the past 3 months, we'll count all your transactions from the last 12 months.
