What has happened to the marking message as answered, used to be able to choose this from the drop down arrow on the item in the selling page?

I can still mark messages as "read" if that's what you mean - I don't recall an option for "answered".

I tried to find how to do this when I had a request to provide the pattern of an item I make and was selling. In the end I ended the item and relisted it because each reminder by ebay that I had an unanswered message for the item, brought back my outrage at the b----y cheek of the question.

eBayed with the usual arrogance of not telling anyone. I get a lot of questions that are not related to the product for sale, Marked as answered was a helpful option.

Typical eBay "lets make everyone (by annoying them) answer questions, because that may cause more sales, and to hell with the annoyed sellers.
