PayPal Dispute in order to get reimbursed for return postage?

Hi

I bought a kit which:

  • Was not as per the listing - you cannot build what was pictured with the parts supplied
  • Some parts were faulty- manufacturing flaws.
  • Some parts were missing - this was a comparison between parts specified in the listing and what I received.
  • And there were no instructions supplied or available to verify that you 

They have agreed to refund if I return the item.

 

I have raised an eBay request to return the item however they are insisting that I raise a PayPal dispute in order to arrange for the reimbursement of the postage.

 

I am concerned that raising a PayPal dispute will mean that the total I will have refunded will be the purchase cost and not the additional cost to return the item to the Seller.

 

Checking the seller's feedback, another buyer encountered the same issue with the kit and state eBay and PayPal were not able to assist.
