Why doesn't eBay coupons apply to coins anymore?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering why until recently eBay coupons can't be applied to items in the Coins category?

I understand that perhaps bullion and precious metals should not have this discount but other collectable coins

should be excluded.

Also those who list collectable coins cannot attract more sales like other categories.

i wish eBay would review its policy regarding this and apply it only to sub-categories like bullion.

You would need to ask eBay but the call centre for eBay is probably also unaware as to the reason.

Maybe due to an increase in counterfeit coins, eBay do not want buyers to make spontaneous purchases without doing proper research first.
