Help resolving a possible scam

Hi all,

I need help and direction. I recently bought  PS5 from an eBay user who requested a bank transfer to his account which I completed. Since then I have not heard anything from him and worried it may be a scam considering the user has had multiple positive feedback recently.
I have the users bank account details

Can anyone point me in the right direction to help resolve the issue?

Re: Help resolving a possible scam

You paid by Bank Transfer so you have no protection through eBay, and it's very doubtful if your bank will be able to help you get your money back. The police won't get involved because they'll see it as a civil matter.

Your only option would be to try actions in court through the Small Claims Tribunal or try a case with Cyber Crime.

Re: Help resolving a possible scam

You've been scammed.

Bank Transfer offers zero protection - please read the ebay guidelines on payment methods.

Contact your bank right now and lodge a dispute.

You cannot name a seller on the boards, so the mods will edit the post.

You didn't notice the 2 seller negatives before deciding to purchase? That would have been massive red flags.

Can eBay provide the users address used for shipping and account creation?

No, eBay won't give you that information due to privacy issues, though they might give it to the courts or to the Cybercrime dept.
