its never safe to have a dog and child together

sure most of the time nothing happens, but dogs can turn from happy doggys into angry bite anything dogs in a moment.

as for the breeders site saying what a lovely breed they are, well what would you expect them to say?

these dogs are vicious hunting dogs not to be kept as pets?

any dog, big or small, can bite and do real damage.

cats too.

there are prolly cases of rabbits and guinie pigs biting too.

I couldn't count the number of times I have heard people say "my dog doesn't bite" and then they do.  A dog is a pack animal, and they have a pecking order.  I bet the dog was there before the child arrived.  People never learn. The "it only happens to other people attitude"

It's the same with swimming pools and small children.  There is no such thing as a childproof fence. Children can be very clever, what they can't climb over, they dig under, or find something to stand on to get over. In my experience they can open things that I find difficult.

Poor little girl.  What a shocking thing to happen to her.  Absolutely heartbreaking.

Little ones... Little ones... I am sorry that this happened.

Know that you are loved, and mourned, and remembered.
