That's the number of women murdered this year by their partners.
Yes, another woman was murdered by her partner today.
That is the 4th woman this week.
it averages out at 2 women killed every week.
We can talk until we are blue in the face about what a threat terrorism is. But terrorism pales in comparison to this.
And, as usual, todays deaths barely rates a mention in the newspapers. And, as usual, our politicians couldn't care less.

It's a horrible statistic only out done by the statistic of 21 fathers a week committing suicide due to their unfair treatment in the family court
Not all male suicides are caused by family break down. Truth be known, probably very few are caused by family breakdown, although it's easy to blame the woman/family court.

op's information was not accurate.
My source is the same source as Cosmo. Th current tally who die at the hands of a man sits at 38. As cosmo rightly pointed out, of those 38 women, 34 were direct cases of partners murdering the women. Of the rest, only 2 were murdered by strangers.
Link isn't required because the the information is easy enough to find as news articles (albeit small ones) are usually published with each death. Most will give a running tally.
Just reread this and typing too quickly - the 34 should read partners and close family.

Give women handguns. Government could give them out on 18th birthday. Eventually all the violent men would be dead. If all the men ended up dead then so be it, people are the worst thing that ever happened to this planet anyway
I think the women would be killing more women out of jealousy, bit chiness etc

as far as domestic violence statistics
go, men are not far behind.
i wonder why when the issue of domestic
violence is raised - the only statistics that
are mentioned are female victims?
all deaths are equally reported by the media.
anyone would like to have a guess?

The statistic is off of the 21fathers web site and apparently is taken from the figures released by Centrelink.
Neither statistic really matters as to how accurate they are as even the loss of one life regardless of gender is to much if it could be prevented
It's a stretch to assume all male suicides are caused by the family court, which is ultimately placing the blame on women.
