Come and have a cuppa, share your joys, and vent your problems with other people who understand.
I don't know what normal is anymore

Kylie I'll be in touch when you get back ๐ Thankyou! Have fun with the boys thou ๐
mapalarkin good luck with Nicholas's assessment I really hope it all goes well for you
It's wonderful Darcy is getting some invites to parties, that just shows the support you have at school but also that his ability to make friends is really growing. That's fantastic, you must be so proud!

Well today we had our first appointment with Dr Sturgeon. What a lovely man.today was just lots of questions and watching Nicholas play.He was surprised that the neo-natologists had never done a behavoural testing on him when he was 6 to 12 months old.Apparantly it is done on all premmi babys but Nicholas has never had it.So thats the next step.A 2 hour behaivour test. That will be fun lol as long as all the bats are put away.thats in 4 weeks time.We are doing 4 weeks of speech first so Dr Sturgeon can asses that as well.
Have a good weekend all.

I have to add my own now:
My boy is currently sitting on the sofa, listening to hard rock music (quietly for a change :O:O) and actually doing his homework!!! And his homework tonight is to write a story - he doesn't "do" creative writing.
You don't have to be crazy to be here, but it helps.

well I'm gonna spoil the good new section rofl. I tried to get DD into a skills based community day program, guess what not enough funding and no one wants to provide it. The hume DHS doesn't answer phones lol, scope won't provide speech or OT services unless I have private funding. Even if I obtained that there are no workers so its a 12 month wait or more.
The private ones are just as booked out. Whats the point? I think I'll do some research and make up my own programs. I'm so sick of underfunded services that promise the world and deliver nothing...

I know how you feel about doing it yourself. It's a pity we aren't closer, we could all get our kids together for their very own social skills program.
