Acorns

Anyone have any ideas what to do with acorns.

I have two very large oak trees on the nature strip in front of the house.  

I would like ideas of what to do with them.

My kids used to sell them. They'd bag them into supermarket bags and get 1 or 2 dollars a bag years ago.

What have you done with them in previous years?

i would collect a lot and them and put them in a bowl, then wait for Mr Boris to ask me "what is that rubbish doing in the bowl", along with a few eye rolls and mumbling about dust collecting.

The kids used to sell them to people that made some sort of food out of them.

Save them for the squirrel.

Sorry no idea, I'd take some of your hands just for decorating purposes however I live to far away to do that.
