wow! that reminds me of here a few years ago when Eildon lake almost dried up and Wendoree lake did.
Our state govt built a de sal plant that cost a fortune & we haven't needed to use it yet, but who knows what's ahead
Hope they get some good rainfall over there soon.

In Northern California it has created an upsurge in gold mining, thanks to low water levels previously unobtainable deposits have become accessible..........

I live in California. Right now parts of California are restricting watering lawns on certain days. We also have a tier system for our bills, the more I use, the more I pay(especially when I go into the next tier). Summers are very expensive here. The electric bill is high, because the air conditioner is going. I took out a portion of plants in the front yard, and replaced them with succulants. I took out 200 sq ft of lawn in the back yard last week, and replaced that with teak deck tiles. I try to take quick showers, and only do full loads of wash.
